Obituary of W.A. Satterfield
Funeral services for William A. Satterfield, 66, for the past 21 years a resident of this city, will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mackey mortuary, conducted by Rev. C.L. Norman. The body will be laid to rest on the family plot in Springwood Cemetary.
The following were requested to meet at the mortuary at 1:50 o'clock to serve as active pallbearers: Ernest M. McDonald, Luke Austin, Bob Baldwin, J.D. Smith, George Johnson, B.Y. Jordan, W.L. Rogers, and John Taylor.
Mr. Satterfield's death followed two years of declining health, with three weeks of serious illness, and occurred at a local hospital at 2:15 o'clock Saturday afternoon. He was a native of Oconee county.
He is survived by his wife, five sons, three daughters, two brothers, two sisters, and five grandchildren. The family home being at 7 East Park Avenue.
Pending the hour of the service, the body is at the mortuary.

William married Eva Floride LANGLEY, daughter of Mansfield H. LANGLEY and Sylvester Jane "Bessie" MILLER. (Eva Floride LANGLEY was born on 11 Nov 1880, died on 19 Apr 1956 in Greenville, SC 1 and was buried in Springwood Cemetary, Greenville, SC.)
